Full Effect

Well my studio has been in full working order for about a month now, and I have been busy at work. We had a great opening party and are lookingforward to another opening/benefit in late March.

I completed some dinner sets for a couple in Birmingham, and so far everyone is very happy.

Below are some photos of the studio in action. It’s already a total mess, which is a good sign.

I was fortunate to work again for the amazing and talented Deborah Horrell, whom I worked for from 2008-2010. Deborah is a ceramist, glass artist, painter, sculptor, illustrator, you name it, and the hardest-working artist I have encountered. She was in the thick of two large installations, several enamel paintings, and some solid-cast bird heads. I did what I could to help… Click on de image for bigger pictures.

Outside of work, I pretty much just ate tons of awesome food and visited with homies. Jessie came out later on and we took a trip up to Seattle. It snowed like the bejesus up there, and the train ride ended up taking us ten hours. ‘Twas a very inspiring trip.

Everyone’s been working on his/her/each other’s spaces, and we’ve come a long way so far. There’s been some serious blood shed and tears cried, but it will all be worth it once we are all buttoned up. Here are some photos of the progress…
